Supporting and Promoting Our School
Tarbert Academy located in the village of Tarbert (Loch Fyne), Argyll and provides nursery, primary and secondary education for pupils aged 3 to 18 years. The school’s core values are respect, achievement, responsibility and creativity. Tarbert Academy is a friendly, happy and vibrant school which enjoys the support and friendship of the communities it serves. Pupils' achievments And attainment have been recognised in the past with Tarbert Academy pupils continuing to come out well in exams, with recent SQA results better than National and Authority averages. In the past pupils have won awards at UK and national level, for example, with Tarbert Academy Investment club, Engineering, Art and Photography.
The objectives of the Parent Council are:
- To promote partnership between the school, its pupils, parents/carers and community
- To develop and engage in activities which support the education and welfare of the pupils.
- To identify and represent the views of parents/carers on the education provided by the school and other matters affecting the education and welfare of the pupil
Membership of the Parent Council is open to all parents and carers. Parents and carers of former pupils and members of the local community can also be co-opted by the committee.
Parent Council meetings are held once per month (during term time) and are open to all
