Mid Argyll Music Festival 2016

Well done to all of our pupils who took part in the festival this year.

As usual our pupils did very well and gave us lots to be proud of - I am certainly very proud of them all.

It was great to see the Early Level class perform on Saturday - they were, of course, excellent!

Many thanks to all of the adults (staff and Parents) who supported our young people, helped them get to the venues and encouraged them throughout the festival - it is very much appreciated.

New flagpole to raise our 2nd Green flag

Our school Captain, Peter Tyler, did a great job when he presented our new flagpole and second Green Flag to the whole school at our first outdoor assembly.

He gave a very impressive speech about the need to protect our environment and praised the efforts made by our Eco Committee in earning our 2nd Green flag.

We also took this opportunity to present our S2 pupils with John Muir Award certificates for their environmental project work last year - well done to all.

Toyota Dream Car Competition

I was delighted to be able to take a couple of Tarbert Academy pupils to Helensburgh on 15th January to receive their prizes in the Argyll & Bute Dream Car competition.

Congratulations to Amber Blake for 2nd place and Rhianna McAleenan for 3rd place - both in the 12-15 years old category.

Both girls still have a chance to go further in the competition as entries have still to be judged for the national and international competitions.

Well done girls

Fashion Show fundraiser

Many thanks to everyone involved in making the Fashion Show such a success on 6th March.

Feedback from parents has been excellent and I thoroughly enjoyed myself as well.

Well done to the Parent Council for organising it and to all the helpers and participants for their hard work and generous giving of their time.

The funds raised from the Fashion Show will go towards the HOPE playground project and the Parent Council fund so that they can continue to support the school as they have in the past year or two including:
